Meet Daniela Grushevska

Daniela Grushevska is a renowned interior designer with over 20 years of experience in the field. Her unique cultural background and unwavering dedication have propelled her to success, earning her recognition and leadership opportunities.

Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Bulgaria, Daniela moved to the United States to pursue higher education and reunite with family. She honed her design skills at Maryville University in St. Louis, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Daniela is a National Council for Interior Design Qualification certified professional and a Registered Interior Designer in Texas.

Awarded Designer and Leader
Daniela's exceptional talent has been acknowledged through prestigious awards, including the Boutique 18 Award from Boutique Design Magazine and a place among the St. Louis Business Journal's 40 Under 40. Her leadership qualities were further strengthened by her participation in the Leadership St. Louis program. Daniela attributes her achievements to her unwavering drive, strong work ethic, and a sense of responsibility instilled in her early on.

Active Community Involvement
Beyond design, Daniela is actively involved in various civic and non-profit organizations. She has been a member of the Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas since 2018, serving as a Board Treasurer between 2020 and 2022. Her commitment extends to the Global Society of Empowered Women (since 2016), the Urban Land Institute's Dallas-Fort Worth chapter (hospitality product council and membership committee), and Maryville University's Interior Design program (advisory board).

Extensive Design Experience
Prior to establishing DG7 Design, Daniela held leadership positions at renowned firms. From 2022 to 2024, she led the Dallas practice of Architextures SP as a principal. Previously, she served as Interior Design Director at Oculus Inc. (Dallas, 2020-2022) and Trivers (St. Louis, 2018-2020). In 2018, she was a Senior Associate at ForrestPerkins in Dallas. Daniela's career began at Lawrence Group in St. Louis (1999-2017), where she rose from intern to Senior Associate, ultimately leading the company's hospitality design practice.

Life Beyond Design
Daniela currently resides in Dallas with her partner George and their cat Evy. She enjoys an active lifestyle, often running or walking on the Katy Trail or exploring the Oak Lawn neighborhood. Her passions include hiking, astronomy (evident in her involvement with the Texas Astronomical Society), music (particularly Queen), healthy cooking, discovering new restaurants, and antique hunting. One of her most cherished adventures was a hot-air balloon ride.
